Philly Matchmakers Reveal Why Men Lose Interest Fast
Many men in Philadelphia seem to get bored very easily when it comes to dating. It happens, and it happens every day. Men, in particularly, are the ones who lose interest in dating fairly quickly. Are you having troubles keeping men around? If new guys always seem to lose interest in you fast, then you might be doing something wrong. Men are decisive creatures, and when they have their minds made up in no longer wanting to pursue you, that’s where it comes to an end. But where does that leave you? If this happening time and time again?
We know it can be frustrating and disheartening to be left wondering why he doesn’t want to be with you anymore. Sometimes it has nothing to do with you; sometimes it’s just bad timing. To help you out, our Philly matchmakers here at Philadelphia Singles will review five reasons men lose interest fast.
1. The first date wasn’t so great.
They say that first impressions matter the most, and the first date is no exception. First dates are a huge deal for men. If he doesn’t think you hit it off, then he’s not going to want to see you again. You have to ask questions, engage him in conversation, and show your interest in him. If there was no initial spark, then he’s not going to want to go out again. This actually works for both sexes. Sometimes you just don’t hit it off, and there’s nothing you can do about it. But if you’re not being lively, asking questions, opening up yourself, and showing interest in your dates, this could be why you’re not making it to second dates.
2. Your inability to carry a conversation.
You might be the most attractive woman in the restaurant, but if you’re unable to keep a conversation going, he’s definitely going to lose interest fast. Once the physical attraction wears off, you have to have something in common or it’s never going to work out. If you’re into rock music while he likes jazz, you’re an introvert while he’s an extrovert, and you don’t seem to have anything in common as far as passions and interests in life, then it’s going to be tough to keep a relationship going.
3. You got attached too soon.
It’s true, there are many women who get attached very easily, especially when they’ve been single for a while. Whatever you do, make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get to know him and to get acquainted with him before you pressure him into a relationship. You can ruin a good thing fast by coming on too strong and asking him to marry you after just a few weeks of dating. Just kidding! But you know what we mean here. Just make sure you don’t let your emotions get the best of you.
If you find yourself falling for him or getting attached too soon, take a step back and take some time to reevaluate why you’re falling for him so quickly. Continue pursuing your own hobbies and interests in life instead of pushing to spend so much time with him.
4. He has other priorities in life.
There’s something attractive about men who are ambitious. Every woman wants a man who is ambitious, driven, and successful, but that success comes with the price of long hours and hard work. If you’re dating someone is working hard for success in life, he will have to make many life sacrifices, which might include not seeing you anymore. This is especially true if he is in law school, medical school, or working up the career ladder. If he barely has any time for himself, he’s not going to be able to make room in his life for a girlfriend. This is just something you’re going to have to come to terms with, and it’s certainly nothing you did. Unfortunately this one comes down to bad timing.
5. He’s not over his ex yet.
If he just broke up with his girlfriend, chances are he still has feelings for her. Be cautious if he still talks to her and keeps her around because he could want her back in his life. If he keeps her pictures around or talks to her family members and inner circle, then chances are he’s thinking about getting back together. You need to protect your heart. If you’re dating a new guy and getting the vibe that his ex is still lurking, then you need to be the one who pulls the plug. Many times when men get out of a relationship, they’re just looking for a rebound to pass time. Save yourself the heartache and don’t become a guy’s rebound.
Men sometimes lose interest for many reasons. If it has to do with them, there’s nothing you can do about it. But if it’s something you’re doing, then it’s time to make some changes so you’re not pushing men away.
